Well there has been a lot of buzz in the paper over the attack on 11 year old Raymond Trudell as there should be. A 12 year old hit him so hard he needed 3 metal plates put in his head. A very sad story for sure but I do have some issues with that.
First off a 12 year old has been CHARGED in this incident. I can't for the life of me believe that he would have meant to cause such damage to Raymond. Kids are kids they get along, they fight that's the way they are. I'm not trying to downplay anything I have 2 boys of my own. As for Mrs.Trudell from the first time I heard her on the radio I knew She was going to make a cash cow out of this and that's exactly what has happened. Suing for over 3 million dollars!! Raymond may have got hit but She got the brain injury. Give it up lady a do think the school should have reacted better after the incident IF your story is correct (which still has not been verified) but get real a few hundred kids and less then a handfull of supervisors. It is impossible to watch everybody every minute, and time how long a punch takes... a split second.
It's a sad case and I'm sure there is a scared 12 year old boy who regrets what he did but why not just learn from it. You people are suppose to be Catholic so be Catholic and forgive. Mrs. Trudell play the lotto if you want a shot at winning a large sum of money don't make your kid a meal ticket. If you want to do something productive go after the Tv Stations, Game System Manufacturers and everyone else that makes fighting part of Childs everyday life. You are not teaching anyone anything suing the School Board for this crazy amount of money, just making yourself look cheesy!
