First off, you must remember that as scary at the H1N1 virus threat is, it's minor compared to what could happen some day. The sad part of this is that we've been told for months Ontario is ready to handle a pandemic and look what happened.
We could even get throught the first round of immunization, were we really ready?
What if this was a much stronger strain that spead even more rapidly, we would all be doomed! It's very scary, look around. There are people walking the streets like we are in a third world country. All the great medical breakthroughs and we can not even contain the flu.
If you ask me this wasn't taken serious enough and now we are paying the piper. To date 3 people in our area have died of the H1N1 strain, how many will this be in a few months from now? Also, how good is injecting yourself with the flu anyway? I've never been a fan of the flu shot myself, infact I really believe it makes things worse the next time round.
Regardless, we have to go with our instincts and do what we think is best.
